  • The Clegg Impact Soil Tester type CIST/882 manufactured by SD Instrumentation (SDi) provides a means for measuring and controlling soil strength and consolidation levels during trench reinstatement. It is also used to confirm uniform compaction over wide areas of ground, identifying poorly compacted areas and ineffective rolling of materials. A special lightweight version of the Tester is also available for checking sports turfs whilst a heavy duty version is supplied for testing harder materials and roadworks.

  SDi Clegg Impact Soil Tester CIST 883 10/20 Kg

  • The Surface Modulus of the flexible pavement is measured in terms of Mega Pascals and calculated as per Dr Baden Clegg’s original work ‘in the field’. The measurement Clegg Modulus or CHM is displayed on the readout unit after the 5th hammer drop. Time and date stamped data logging of site tests and wireless transfer to PC is provided by the CIST/883 Readout Unit.
